I’m trying really hard to contain my excitement so I can write this post! We’ve recently found this brand and have been using the cheese shreds in just about anything that requires cheese!
I don’t know how they did it, but this cheese tastes and behaves like the real thing! Better than dairy cheese (can I go that far?)! It’s by Daiya and it is fantastically dairy and soy free. Not only is it possible to enjoy everyday foods like pizza and mac and cheese thanks to their different varieties (available in Mozzarella, Cheddar, and Pepper Jack), but I discovered that they also make cream cheese! It tastes just as good as regular cream cheese, and is also available in Plain, Chive and Onion, and Strawberry.
The Daiya cheese style lines include: shreds*, slices**, and wedges. They’re available here in London Ontario at the Organic Works Bakery, and should hopefully be available to you at health food stores in your area.
