Soft dough, cheezy, flavorful, and loaded with your favorite toppings and rolled! This is a must make pizza that everyone will love.

You haven’t lived until you’ve made these Pizza Rolls. Well that’s not true — I’m sure you’re content with your life as it is right now, but, it still stands that you absolutely must make these rolls immediately. A quick thank you to everyone who helped pitch in to name the pizza rolls. There were a number of suggestions: Pizza Wheels, rolls, buns, bites, crowns, and even “amazing ooey gooey things”! I liked all of them a lot and choosing was so tough — I totally thought about combining all of the names and make up a word like Pizza Wrb2ctmat (can you tell I’m terrible at coming up with clever names), but then again I didn’t want Google to get confused and send you somewhere you shouldn’t be instead of here…. :|

Hope everyone’s march break went well – for those of you who had it anyway. To say that mine was eventful would be an understatement. Let me recap the many things that went down.

So about a week and a half before our march break started, Munsur got a cold. Luckily it wasn’t a bad one. Then Sofia caught the cold (of course) but poor girl ended up developing pneumonia which required antibiotics which meant that neither one of us slept very much for the next few days. Then as her med was tapering off, Munsur surprised us with a sudden ear infection – just when his break began. Our pediatrician confirmed Munsur had a severe ear infection in both ears and needed to be on antibiotics ASAP. So again, not much sleep went on in our home. It sucks when kids get sick. you don’t know what to do for them, you feel helpless, and it breaks my heart every time I see sunken eyes and a worn-down look on their tiny faces.

Speaking of tiny faces, my sister and her adorable boys came down to visit for the week. So did my brother and dad who’d spent the weekend with us. I just loved it. It was a family reunion and it was fantastic — couldn’t have asked for anything better — Especially because it was my birthday that weekend. And although I was in no mood to celebrate because my baby’s ears were hurting, it was an amazing weekend to be surrounded by my favorite people.

During the week I had one of the coolest things happen to me on social media: if you’re familiar with The Feed Feed you’d know just how amazing their community is. It’s filled with thousands of mouthwatering recipes to cater to anyone’s food likes and dietary needs. Well, I was contacted and asked if they could post my Naturally Sweetened Candied Cocoa Pecans – to which I happily agreed. Then I did a happy dance, typed up the recipe and sent it to them to feature! And they did! I’ll post the recipe on here shortly too.

Then, I was approached by one of the March Break Camp coordinators to see if I could volunteer for a couple of hours to help with a kids camp decorate cupcakes and cookies. I agreed on the condition that I would bake the treats so that my kids would be able to participate. They agreed. I volunteered. The kids (including my babies) had an amazing time.

At the end of the week, one of my favourite food brands regrammed my Pizza Hearts I’d made for my kids. That was definitely a highlight for me. Suddenly, March Break was over and the weekend felt like it lasted a total of 30 minutes. And before we knew it, it was back to school for Munsur, and back to the everyday routinely things for me.

You may be asking yourself at the moment “what does the march break and these drool worthy pizza rolls have to do with one another?” Well, nothing at all, actually. But since we’re back on the topic at hand, let me tell you that unlike the traditional triangular-shaped pizza slice, this will indeed blow your mind! And it’s a recipe that you must make immediately – after you finish reading my post, of course – and enjoy with your family.

The dough used in this recipe can be found here. Because the dough is rolled quite thin, you’ll find that there’s much more stuffed ‘toppings’-to-dough ratio. The result is a delicious, healthy, and arguably the yummiest form of pizza you’ll ever come across.

Munsur had a class party and his teacher had asked the parents to bring in something for the students. I’d made cupcakes and pizza but had decided, at the very last minute, to roll the prepared dough! I figured kids are my most brutally honest critics, so what a great time to make something and see if they would either love it or – gulp – hate it. So I went for it.

The Pizza Rolls were so well received, the kids begged me to make them again for them — where’s that hidden camera when you need it. I wiped off the sweat and breathed a sigh of relief. :D

So now it’s your turn. Make them and enjoy every last roll. I know you will love them. :)

Happy – Pizza Roll – baking, my friends. xo, Laila
