A light yet flavorful meal that's a snap to make. The peas add a nice crunch and the creaminess from the sauce gives this pasta so much yumminess! Top allergen free!

Excuse me while I dust off my keyboard…. What a crazy busy but good start to the {school} year it’s been.  Being away for this long sucked, no ands or ifs about it. But life happens, and for me, It got really busy the second that Munsur started school, as I’m sure most of you can relate with your own. It’s always better to be busy than not though :)

My photography has also been keeping me busy – which again, is a good thing. And I love the flexibility it gives me to be at home and work at times that best suit me and my family. Can’t wait for the clients to release the images so that I can share some of them with you! Keep you posted!

Moving on to why you came here in the first place – to check out this super comforting dish appropriately entitled Creamy Fusilli with Peas because well, that’s exactly what it is. It’s creamy, delicious, and uncomplicated in every sense of the word. Fortunately or unfortunately (depends how you look at it) the cooler weather is coming, so why not start thinking about making comfort foods to warm your soon-to-be frozen soul. The pasta I chose for this recipe is rice fusilli because it tastes like its wheat counterpart but without the added calorie and sometimes bloating effect you get with the latter choice. Since I tend to veer away from wheat, in particular wheat pasta, I opt for rice or quinoa so that I can enjoy a bowl with the kids without the guilt. Go with me on this one….

This meal is simple, simply delicious, flavorful, top allergy free, and it’ll fill you up without weighing you down :D Because of its simplicity, you can add other ingredients to this recipe to give it even more pizzaz. For example, I enjoyed this with some fresh mint leaves that I’d finely chopped and added as garnish just before serving. You can also add a couple of minced garlic cloves to make it even more earthy in taste, then drizzle the best extra virgin olive oil you have just before serving and enjoy!

Thanks for all the tags I get on Instagram! Be sure to continue to tag me whenever you make anything of mine or anything of yours you’d like me to see :) I love you guys!

This meal keeps for days in a lidded container in the fridge. Simply reheat when wanting to enjoy the leftovers or serve it cold if you like your pasta that way too :)
